Man makes off with cigars in Dartmouth robbery, police say

Halifax police are searching for the suspect in a robbery at a Dartmouth gas station on Wednesday.

Police say just before 1:30 p.m., a man entered the Irving at 220 Victoria Rd. and threatened the cashier with a “metal, wrench-like tool.”

“The man went behind the counter, accessed the drawers and fled the area on foot with a quantity of cigar,” police wrote in a media release.

The suspect is described as a white man standing about 5’10”. Police say the man’s face was covered with a medical mask and he was wearing a royla blue hoodie, a black puffy winter jacket, grey or beige shorts and red sneakers.
