Man charged after police respond to stabbing call in Lower Sackville

Halifax RCMP have laid charged in connection with an incident in Lower Sackville on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers were called to the scene outside a residence on Seawood Avenue around 1:25 p.m. in response to a call about a stabbing in that area. When they arrived police found a 54-year-old man suffering from what police described as serious injuries. The victim was taken to hospital by EHS for treatment.
Police began to search for a suspect, and with the assistance of a police services dog, arrested a man 30 minutes later.
Jaymyron Flint, 20, of Lower Sackville has been charged with:
- Aggravated assault
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Mischief
Flint was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court Wednesday.
