The Halifax Mooseheads continued their weekend homestand, welcoming the Gatineau Olympiques on Sunday afternoon.
The Herd began the month of December looking to improve their record from November, as Halifax went 3-6-1.

Justin Boisselle added to the Olympiques lead on the powerplay with 5:41 remaining in the first period. The goal was subject to a short review before being allowed.
The Olympiques captain, Jérémie Minville, added the team’s second powerplay marker of the game early into the second period to increase their lead over the Herd.
Braedon MacPhee put Halifax on the board with a shorthanded goal 6:39 into the second period. Lou Levesque sprang MacPhee for a breakaway, and MacPhee slid the puck through the five-hole of the Olympiques netminder.
The Moose struck again at the beginning of the third period. Brady Schultz’s shot from an offensive zone faceoff win found its way through traffic and into the back of the Olympiques’ net.
Jérémie Dumas-Larouche threw a shot at the Moosehead’s net, and Charles Desmet scored on the rebound for his first QMJHL goal to give the Gatineau Olympiques another two-goal lead. With only 3:44 remaining, Jérémie Minville sent the puck into an empty Moosehead net. Charles Desmet netted another with less than a minute remaining.
With the loss, the Herd fall to 10-13-3 on the season, and the Olympiques rise to 5-17-6.
