Savvy Proline bettors taking advantage of struggles by Patriots, Titans
Proline players continue to cash in on the struggles of the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans.
According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., 93 per cent of players backed Cincinnati in its 37-27 win over Tennessee last weekend. Eighty-seven per cent also successfully had the Bengals -6.5 on the spread.
And 92 per cent of players backed Arizona in its 30-17 victory over New England. The Titans and Patriots both sport 3-11 records.

In other NFL action, Washington edged the New Orleans Saints 20-19, with 90 per cent of bettors backing the Commanders. And 87 per cent of players backed Baltimore (35-14 over the New York Giants), Kansas City (21-7 over the Cleveland Browns) and Denver (31-13 over the Indianapolis Colts).
However, just 27 per cent of players backed Tampa in its 40-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. On Sunday night, Green Bay got past the Seattle Seahawks 30-13, with 65 per cent of bettors successfully backing the Packers and 75 per cent having them -2.5 on the spread.
Minnesota dispatched the Chicago Bears 30-12 on Monday night, with 90 per cent of Proline players successfully backing the Vikings and 83 per cent having them -6.5 on the spread.
Also on Monday, Atlanta got past the Las Vegas Raiders 15-9. Eighty-three per cent of bets backed the Falcons with 23 per cent having the Raiders +6.5 on the point spread.
In NHL action the Toronto Maple Leafs dropped a 4-2 decision to Detroit on Saturday before earning a 5-3 victory the following night over the Buffalo Sabres. Just 20 per cent of players backed the Red Wings while only 17 per cent had them at +1.5.

On Sunday, though, 82 per cent of players had Toronto bouncing back with another 80 per cent having the Leafs’ -1.5 Puckline.
Elsewhere, 64 per cent of players had Edmonton’s 6-3 win over Vegas while 89 per cent successfully backed Winnipeg’s 4-2 decision over Montreal. But just 27 per cent had Calgary downing Florida 3-0 and 33 per cent supported Boston’s 5-1 verdict over Vancouver.
With the 2024 sports calendar winding down, major-league baseball was the top league in terms of money wagered, not a surprise given the number of games played. And while the NFL was fourth behind the NHL and NBA, it remains the most popular league on a per-game basis.
The defending-champion Chiefs are the most popular NFL team in terms of average money bet on games they play in. Rounding out the top-five are San Francisco, Detroit, Buffalo and Baltimore.
The Toronto Blue Jays are the most popular major-league baseball squad, followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, San Diego Padres and Baltimore Orioles.

The Toronto Maple Leafs top NHL squads in terms of average money bet on games they play in. Edmonton, Utah, Florida and Boston follow. In NBA circles, Dallas is tops, followed by Indiana, Minnesota, Boston and Denver, with Toronto being an honourable mention.
The top Proline retail win in 2024 was a 12-leg baseball parlay Sept. 17 that netted $26,183 from a $10 bet. The biggest digital windfall was $16,140 from a $5 wager Feb. 20 on 12 different U.S. college basketball totals.
The big pool win was $407,163 in October.
