Overnight winter parking ban to be enforced with snow on the way

The street parking ban that was put in place in the Halifax area on Friday night has now been extended in to Sunday. People will need to find off-street parking for overnight.

The municipality says it will be enforcing its overnight winter parking ban, which means on-street parking will not be allowed between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday.

The ban is put in place to allow winter operations crews to clear the snow.

The Halifax area is currently under a snowfall warning, calling for 15 to 30 cm of snow Friday night into Saturday afternoon.
