Weekend weather brings a mixed bag of flurries and colder temperatures

It looks like Saturday will be the best bet when it comes to the weekend weather.

Haligonians could see a passing flurry or two Friday, with winds gusting as high as 50 km/h, making today’s guaranteed high of 0 C feel much colder.

“If you’re travelling near the Bay of Fundy or the Minas Basin, you might encounter some more organized snow squalls,” Allistar Aalders, 95.7 NewsRadio Weather Specialist, said.

He noted that the city will see the sun mixing with a few clouds on Saturday, but it will remain cold. Daytime highs will only reach 0 C, and the wind will make it feel colder than that.

Sunday, there’s a chance of a flurry or two, and it will be cold, with a daytime high only reaching -8 C.

Monday, there is expected to be some partial clearing of clouds with highs around -4 C.
