Drivers digging deeper to fill their tanks: Fuel prices jump

Gasoline prices in Nova Scotia have eclipsed the $1.60 plateau.

The Nova Scotia Utilities and Review Board(NSUARB) used its weekly adjustment on Friday morning to raise the minimum price for self-serve regular gas by 3.2 cents to 162.9.

The price of diesel increased much more. Fuel prices increased by 6 cents, to 187.1.

A year ago, drivers paid 1.52 for gasoline and 1.88 for diesel.
