Halifax District RCMP have charged a man involved in a gas station robbery in Lower Sackville.
On Wednesday morning, Mounties responded to a report of a robbery at a gas station on Cobequid Road where a man had brandished a knife, demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing on foot.
Police said there were no injuries reported, adding they later arrested two men after a search of the area. One man was released without charges.
According to RCMP, officers executed a search warrant later that morning at a home where they seized cash, cigarettes and a knife from the property.
Matthew Christopher Specht, 38, from Middle Sackville, is facing a number of charges including robbery, uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, among others.
