3 teens, 2 youth face charges following stabbing in Lunenburg County

Mounties have arrested three adults and two youths following a stabbing in Lunenburg County.

On the evening of Jan. 12, police learned that a youth was walking on Main Street in Wileville when they were approached by a vehicle.

Police said four people got out of the vehicle and attacked the youth with a knife. The victim escaped on foot and was treated for serious injuries.

According to RCMP, they arrested five suspects at different locations between Jan. 12 to 17.

Police also said they found and seized the vehicle believed to be involved in the crime at a home in Bridgewater.

The three adult suspects, Ira Leblanc, Emma Jollimore, and Braeden Meisner, all of whom are 18 years old, each face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, robbery, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Two youths are also facing charges, and all five suspects have made their first court appearance in Bridgewater Provincial Court.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
