Halifax Regional Centre for Education closes schools on Friday

The clean-up continues after yesterday’s messy storm.

Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) has closed all its schools for the day. On its website, officials explained that the decision to close was based on:

  1. Freezing rain, rain, and a drop in temperature overnight.
  2. Roads and sidewalks are still being cleared.

HRCE was not alone in closing schools on Friday. Schools were also closed within the following districts:
