Millbrook RCMP charge man with attempted murder after weekend stabbing

Around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, officers were called to a residence on Birch Bark Raod in Millbrook, where they found a man suffering from multiple injuries.

After a brief investigation, it was determined that the 31-year-old had been stabbed. He was taken from the scene and sent to the hospital for treatment.

Police located a suspect in another room in the residence and took him into custody.

Brenton Joseph Arsenault,29, now faces charges of attempted murder and assault with a weapon.

The accused remains in police custody and is scheduled for a court hearing later Tuesday.
