Suspect sought in Gottingen Street robbery

Police are searching for a suspect after a gas station in the North End of Halifax was robbed Thursday night.

Officers were called to the Ultramar station in the 2800 block of Gottingen Street around 9:30 p.m. after a man walked into the store, threatened staff, and left with undisclosed amounts of cash and cigarettes.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 30s, wearing a black jacket with a beige hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and beige shoes.

A black jacket belonging to the suspect was found nearby on Black Street, near Northwood Terrace, officials said.
