Gas prices jump in Nova Scotia, diesel drops

There was a significant increase in the price of gasoline in Nova Scotia on Friday.

The Nova Scotia Utilities and Review Board used its weekly adjustment at midnight to raise the price of self-serve regular by 4.7 cents to 160.0 cents per litre.

Diesel users are seeing some relief, with prices dropping by 1.1 cents to 178.0 cents per litre.

A year ago, gasoline was selling for about 170.0 cents per litre, while diesel was retailing at 190.0.
