Mooseheads to face Voltigeurs in first round of QMJHL playoffs

The Halifax Mooseheads will begin their playoff journey Friday, with tickets on sale Tuesday morning.

Halifax will take on the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the first round of the QMJHL playoffs, starting Friday.

It will likely be a challenge for the Mooseheads — Halifax just snuck into the playoffs after a rebuilding regular season, while Drummondville finished with the league’s third-best record, winning more than twice as many games as Halifax.

The series will follow a 2-3-2 format, with the first two games in Drummondville, Games 3, 4 and 5 in Halifax, and the final two — if necessary — back in Drummondville.

Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m.
