Halifax Regional Police are asking for information and video footage from the public after a stranger approached a 10-year-old child in Clayton Park on Thursday.
According to police, the child was waiting at a school bus stop on Langbrae Drive when the driver pulled up and said he was an Uber driver ordered by the child’s parents.
Police say the child refused to get in the vehicle and reported the incident to an adult.
“The driver is described as east or southeast Asian man with a black beard,” police wrote in a media release. “He was wearing a blue t-shirt and black jacket. He spoke to the child in Hindi.”
HRP is asking anyone with information or video from the Langbrae Drive, Chipstone Close or Dunbrack Street between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Thursday to reach out.
