Mooseheads fall in game 3, Voltigeurs breathe new life into series

The Drummondville Voltigeurs claimed game three against the Halifax Mooseheads, defeating the Herd 4-1
Bridgewater native Luke Woodworth scored the lone goal of the first period giving Drummondville the early lead.
Woodworth scored his second of the night in the third, doubling the Voltigeurs lead.
the Mooseheads answered back as Quinn Kennedy scored off a pass from the point by Brady Schultz. Sniping a laser from the left wing faceoff circle past Louis-Félix Charrois.
Sam Oliver then silenced the Scotiabank Centre as he restored the Voltigeurs lead on an odd man rush with Justin LaRose with 1:34 left in the contest and Jesse Allecia sealed the deal with an empty netter as the Voltigeurs earned their first win of the series.
With the loss the Herd still hold a 2-1 series lead over Drummondville in the best of seven series.
Luke Woodworth earned first star for Drummondville with two goals in the win, Volts goaltender Louis-Félix Charrois was awarded second star with the win and an assist while third star went to Quinn Kennedy with the lone Mooseheads goal.
The two teams will return to action tomorrow, Apr 2 as the Mooseheads host game four at the Scotiabank Centre. Puck drop is at 7 p.m., and you can catch all the action here on 95.7 NewsRadio.
