Frost advisory issued as temperatures expected to dip near freezing

Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for all of Nova Scotia, warning that overnight temperatures could fall close to the freezing mark tonight and into early Thursday.

The national forecaster is urging residents to cover any frost-sensitive plants or trees to avoid potential damage.

Some sunshine is expected through the day and into tomorrow. Despite the cold overnight temperatures, daytime highs are forecast to remain near seasonal.

Temperatures are expected to hover around 14 C on Wednesday with a mix of sun and cloud. As the sun disappears, the cool will slip into the province with the temperature expected to be near 2 C.

The sun should return on Thursday with a mix of cloud until noon, dissipating fog patches.
