Halifax police charge man involved in two hit-and-runs over the weekend

Regional police say a man is facing a number of charges after a pair of hit-and-runs over the weekend.

On Sunday afternoon, officers responded to reports of a vehicle involved in two crashes, one in Dartmouth and the other in Halifax.

Police said the driver allegedly assaulted someone during one of the collisions.

A short time later, officers stopped the vehicle on Joseph Howe Drive and arrested the driver.

A 24-year-old-man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face charges of assault, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of failure to stop after an accident.
