Weekend closure scheduled for Macdonald bridge

Another closure is scheduled for one of the cross-harbour spans this weekend.

Halifax Harbour Bridges says the Macdonald bridge will be closed to all traffic this weekend, from Friday at 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. Monday.

The bridge will be closed to drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.

HHB is asking travelers to expect delays, and says pedestrians or cyclists can pick up free Halifax Transit tickets at the Macdonald Bridge Operation Centre on Wyse Road.

The MacKay bridge will be open as usual.
