Lunenburg District RCMP seized six firearms during an investigation in Broad Cove.
Police responded to a home on Back Road for a report of threats involving a firearm shortly before 7 a.m. on Jan. 6.
RCMP say officers safely arrested one woman on scene and seized two firearms located in plain site.
Investigators then executed a search warrant at the residence during which officers found four more firearms, none of which were safely stored, officers say.
The woman was released on conditions pending a court appearance on Mar. 4.
Police are reminding individuals that there are two ways to safely and lawfully store non-restricted firearms. A locking device must be attached so it cannot be fired or the firearm must be locked in a cabinet or room.
