Traffic stop in Fall River leads to illegal cannabis seizure, arrest

A Truro man is facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Fall River.

RCMP say that officers patrolling Highway 102 on Saturday morning stopped a southbound Ford F-150 truck and observed an illegal cannabis product inside the vehicle.

The driver was arrested, and officers searched vehicle, finding a quantity of illegal cannabis.

The RCMP say the cannabis was bound for an illegal storefront, and officers seized the product.

The 26-year-old driver is now facing drug-related charges, including possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling and distribution.

He was released and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.
