HRM now has now recorded its second murder of 2012.
Police are now confirming the suspicious death near Cole Harbour over the weekend was a homicide. An autopsy performed Tuesday afternoon revealed that James Alexander “Sandy” Lyle, 55, of Dartmouth died from a gunshot wound.
His body was found late Sunday night off Montague Road in Montague Gold Mines. Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in that area to come forward.
They’re also asking for tips from people who live on Cannon Terrace in the north end of Dartmouth. Reports suggest Lyle lived on that street but police will not confirm that.
