Police on Clifton St murder case make drug arrests

The investigation into metro’s latest murder has led to charges, but none to do with the actual killing.

Police have been looking into Friday night’s murder of Corey Lucas on Clifton Street in Halifax.

Officers searched homes on Willett Street in Halifax and Kelly Point Drive in Prospect. They arrested one person on Willett and seven more in Prospect.

They seized cocaine, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia

Five of the people were released without charges.

Nicholas Bernard MacLellan and Jessica Ann Desrochers, both 21-years-old, face charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and drug possession. Twenty-year-old Dylan Peter Roach faces charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
