HALIFAX – A small drop in the price for gasoline is on the horizon for Nova Scotia.
Our newsroom is predicting that when regulated prices are adjusted at midnight, they will fall by about a penny per litre.
George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices tells NEWS 95.7 even with refinery capacity still below normal following hurricane Harvey, the amount of gasoline available on the markets continues to build.
“Capacity has been around 93, 94, 95 per cent capacity,” said Murphy. “So if you take that six per cent and add it back in, you’re probably talking about gasoline building again in inventories.”
Across the border in New Brunswick prices fell by 4-10ths of a cent, lowering the maximum price to 109.4.
