Five charged in drug trafficking investigation

Halifax Regional Police have charged three men and two women in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.

Police searched two residences on Hilden Drive in the Spryfield area early Thursday morning

They arrested the five and say they seized cocaine, cash, two long guns and ammunition.

Timothy Wayne O’Quinn, 55, of Halifax, has been charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Storing a firearm contradictory to regulations
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized

 Megan Dawn Macumber, 28 and Fallon Alice Drane, 37, both of Halifax, are charged with:

  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Storing a firearm contradictory to regulations
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized

Dion Francis Covin, 53, of Halifax, has been charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Breach of release order

All five appeared in court yesterday.
