Outdoor pool at Halifax Common to close Monday ‘until further notice’

Halifax Regional Municipality says the outdoor pool at the Halifax Common will be closing on Monday, July 8 at 5 p.m. until further notice.
Crews will be investigating water loss at the facility and it's not yet known how long the repairs will take.
Those looking to cool down can still use the Common's splashpad, or head to nearby Centennial Pool and Needham Pool.
Centennial Pool will be offering free swimming on Tuesday and Thursday (July 9 and 11) between 2-3 p.m., then on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (July 15, 16 and 18) between 2-3 p.m.
Needham's free swims go Monday to Friday between 1 – 2:30 p.m. and on Sundays between 2 – 4 p.m.
HRM will send out a news release when the pool reopens, and Haligonians can check the status of all outdoor pools, splash pads and municipal beaches online.
