Eastern Passage: Fire crews battle early morning house fire (4 photos)

An early morning house fire in Eastern Passage is now under control.

Halifax Fire Crews were called to a home at the corner of Cow Bay Road and Dyke Road just after 5:00 am.

Firefighters spent more than two hours working on the fire in order to knock down the flames.

Crews remain on scene and are working to put out hot spots.

The fire caused significant damage to the home and a nearby garage.

No word on if anyone was injured.
