A pair of hobbits will be coming to Halifax.
Neptune Theatre announced its 61st season yesterday and one of the upcoming shows will star Lord of the Rings stars Billy Boyd and Domenic Monaghan.
The actors, best known for playing “Pippin” and “Merry” in Peter Jackson's epic movie trilogy, will jump on the Neptune stage to star in the Tony-award winning play, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
Prior to that Jan. 30 premiere, Broadway hit, The Play That Goes Wrong will feature East Coast funnyman Jonathan Torrens in his Neptune debut.
Perhaps best known for playing “J-Roc” on the TV hit, Trailer Park Boys, the 50-year-old earned three Canadian Screen Awards last year for his work in the series, Vollies and the consumer affairs show, Your Two Cents.
Amongst the ten other offerings will be productions of The Full Monty, Dickens' A Christmas Carol and a tribute show to The Spice Girls.
