Man charged with posting name of teen suspect of C.P. Allen stabbings

A 30-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly breaching a publication ban involving an incident earlier this year at Charles P. Allen High School.

In March, the Bedford high school was put into lockdown after a student, now facing attempted murder charges, went on a stabbing spree and injured two members of staff as well as another student.

In a news release, Halifax Regional Police say they were made aware of social media posts that identified the teen charged in the incident and arrested the person responsible for the posts.

Ali Zaki Khairalla Al-Hindal will appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face a charge of contravening a section of the Youth Criminal Justice Act through publishing the name of a young person or any other information related to a young person which identifies them.
