Kings County RCMP investigating fatal weekend crash

RCMP in Kings County continues to investigate a fatal crash in Chipmans Corner.

Officers were called to the scene on Middle Dyke Road on Saturday after a report that a Ford F-150 had collided with a Mazda CX.

Police believe the northbound truck crossed the centre lane and collided head-on with the car.

The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 75-year-old woman driving the Mazda was taken to hospital for treatment of what police describe as minor injuries.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene, and the roadway was closed for several hours before reopening.
