Construction could cause traffic disruptions near QEII Halifax Infirmary

By CityNews Halifax Staff

Nova Scotia Health is advising residents that as of today, Bell Road will be closed between Robie and Summer Streets.

In a release, the agency said the corridor will be closed to vehicles as well as bikes and remain inaccessible.

It says pedestrians will be rerouted as the sidewalks will also be closed.

Traffic control personnel will be present to assist with traffic flow, and detour signage will be in place to direct alternate routes.

The closure is necessary to connect the QEII Halifax Infirmary redevelopment site to new water and sewer services.

The section of Bell Road will be closed until August 30.
