Ferry service between N.S. and P.E.I. cancelled for Tuesday

If you’re thinking about taking the ferry to Prince Edward Island today, think again.

Northumberland Ferries has announced that no ferries will be crossing the Northumberland Strait today due to technical issues on the MV Saarema.

There were few other details provided on the service’s website but customers with reservations will be refunded.

With the service’s other ferry, MV Confederation, also out of service, the reliability of the ferry service has been called into question recently after several cancellations over this past summer.
