Man charged following break-and-enter in south end Halifax

Regional police have charged a man with break-and-enter following an incident in the city’s south end this past weekend.

On Saturday morning, officers responded to a break-in that took place at an apartment building on Dresden Row.

Police said the victim, living at the apartment, left briefly, and when they returned, a man was inside their unit and ran out the front door. The victim was not physically injured.

Officers arrested the suspect a short time later without incident.

Tian Min Zhang, 31, was scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court on Monday to face a charge of break and enter with intent to commit an offence.
