Group of teens at large after stabbing 16-year-old outside home

By CityNews Halifax Staff

Halifax Regional Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed early Sunday morning.

Police say officers were called to the 6700 block of Chisholm Avenue shortly after midnight, where the victim reported he was in a house with friends when a rock was thrown through a window.

After the group went outside, they were confronted by another group of young people dressed in black and wearing masks.

The second group sprayed a sensory irritant at the first group, and the victim was stabbed during the altercation.

Police say the victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and no arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
