CHARLOTTETOWN — Prince Edward Island is reporting 21 new cases of COVID-19 today.

Chief public health officer Dr. Heather Morrison says all of the cases are still under investigation and contact tracing is underway.

Morrison says anyone identified as a close contact will be contacted directly by public health with instructions on testing and isolation requirements.

The Island currently has 89 active cases of novel coronavirus.

Health officials are reminding that personal gathering limits are now set at 10 people in addition to household members.

Officials say the group of 10 should be “steady,” meaning that people should not attend small gatherings composed of different groups of 10 people.
