Dr. Strang recommends leaving a special item out for the Easter Bunny

The province's chief medical officer of health is recommending leaving a special item out for the Easter Bunny's visit this year.

“If you want to help the Easter Bunny, you could leave out some hand sanitizer so he or she can clean their hands when they come to visit,” said Dr. Robert Strang at a Thursday briefing.

“And remember to wash your hands as well before you eat and before you play with friends.”

Premier Iain Rankin suggested the bunny might also appreciate his usual snack of carrots.

“I hope the Easter Bunny visits you this year and brings you some chocolate,” Strang added.

“Whether you're a child or adult, your actions can help protect your friends, family and community from COVID-19.”
