All Nova Scotia public schools closed tomorrow

By CityNews Halifax Staff

Education Minister Zach Churchill confirms in a Facebook post that all public schools in the province will be closed on Monday, September 9.

This is based on the recommendation of the Emergency Management office, says Churchill, to ensure students and staff remain safe during clean-up from Hurricane Dorian.

Churchill says that officials are assessing buildings and properties, to be sure they are safe before students and staff return to classes.

The next update on school openings will be issued on Monday.
