Frost advisory ends for Halifax (update)

By Mark Hodgins

UPDATE: Environment Canada's frost advisory for the HRM has ended.

*************************

It's going to get chilly overnight in Halifax.

Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for the HRM and much of mainland Nova Scotia ahead of a cool night.

The national forecaster says temperatures will drop as low as just one degree into Saturday morning.

It says clear skies, light winds and low temperatures are combining to bring the risk of patchy frost to the area, and says people should take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
