Gas prices drop, diesel stays the same in Nova Scotia

Drivers are paying less to fill up their tanks in Nova Scotia this morning.

The provincial regulator using its weekly adjustment to lower the minimum price for self serve regular by 5.5 cents to 167.3.

Diesel prices did not change overnight, with the price for fuel remaining at 205.6.

In New Brunswick, gasoline prices jumped again overnight with the maximum price rising by 2.6 cents to 176,4

The price for diesel is up by much more.  Diesel prices in New Brunswick skyrocketed by 16.7 cents at midnight to a new maximum of 237.1

12 months ago, in Nova Scotia, we were paying 1.23 for gasoline, 1.11 for diesel.

Oil was trading at $59.15 U.S. per barrel, just over 41 dollars less than 100.28.
