A Halifax man has been charged with first degree murder in the death of Tyler Ronald Joseph Keizer.

Halifax Regional Police were called to the area of Falkland and Gottingen streets at around 10:45 p.m. on Nov. 21, 2016.

When they arrived, they found Keizer in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was rushed to the QEII Health Sciences Centre with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

Adam Joseph Drake, 27, was arrested at around 1 p.m. Wednesday and is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court Thursday.

At a news conference Thursday afternoon, HRP Supt. Jim Perrin said it's believed the suspect and victim are known to each other.

“Our thoughts remain with Tyler’s loved ones and we hope the charges announced today will bring some measure of comfort to them,” said police in a news release.

Police believe there are still people out there they haven't talked to who have information about the murder and they hope they come forward.
