Man facing charges after thefts at multiple grocery stores

A man is facing several charges after thefts at three grocery stores in February.

Halifax Regional Police say a man stole merchandise from the Windsor St. Sobeys at around 11 a.m. on Feb. 11.

The second theft happened at around 10:10 a.m. on Feb. 23 at the Wyse St. Sobeys.

The third was at the Atlantic Superstore on Braemar Dr. at around noon on Feb. 24.

Police searched a home Windmill Rd. at around 9 p.m. Friday night where they say they seized ammunition and a sensory irritant.

A man and woman were arrested; the woman has since been released without charges.

Sean David Ouellet, 35, will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court to face several charges including theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
