Man facing impaired charges after driving to police station to pick up friend : RCMP

A man hoping to bail out a friend has been charged with impaired driving.

Police say the 27-year-old from Roachville was “heavily intoxicated” when he drove his 2008 Pontiac Wave to the Antigonish District RCMP detachment just before 5 p.m. on March 13.

Mounties say he had been ordered to not consume alcohol.

Michael Taylor Pinkham has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while over the legal limit, public intoxication and two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking.
