There are some Nova Scotians hoping to hear their names called as the QMJHL entry draft gets going on Monday night.

The Cape Breton Eagles will be selecting first overall, while the Halifax Mooseheads have the 7th overall pick.

Nova Scotia forward Quinn Kennedy is the highest-ranked local skater at number seven, according to central scouting.

Defenceman Owen Phillips and forward William Shields, also from Nova Scotia, are ranked 10th and 11th.

The draft will be virtual again this year, getting started at 8 p.m. ATL.
