The Halifax Mooseheads have made another trade.
Shortly after learning that he was not going to be on the final roster at the World Junior Hockey Championships in the Czech Republic, it was announced that Benoit-Olivier Groulx was traded to the Moncton Wildcats.
In return for Groulx, the Mooseheads have acquired a first round pick in 2021, along with a second round pick in both this year's entry draft, and another second round pick in 2022. The now former captain accumulated 207 points in 221 regular season games along with 22 points in 25 playoffs games with the Moose making him 7th on the all-time scoring list.
The Mooseheads return from their Christmas break on December 28th at 7 o'clock when they host the Cape Breton Eagles in Game One of the Hurley Cup.
