Nearly 800 Nova Scotia Power customers in South End Halifax were without power overnight Sunday into Monday morning.

The utility said “damage to equipment” was to blame for the outage, which began just after 11 p.m. on Sunday.

Restoration time for the 786 affected customers was originally set for 7 a.m. Monday, but was pushed back multiple times. The lights were back on just before 9 a.m.

The outage stretched from Robie to Oxford and up past Jubilee.
