No toll charges on Halifax bridges for Christmas Day

By Chris Stoodley

Halifax Harbour Bridges has announced that no tolls will be collected on Christmas Day to celebrate the holiday.

“Not charging tolls on Christmas Day is a nice way to conclude the year and say thank you to our employees and customers,” general manager and CEO Steve Snider says in a news release.

The toll-free period will begin at 12 a.m. on Dec. 25 and will last for 24 hours.

It'll be in effect for both the Angus L. Macdonald and A. Murray MacKay bridges in Halifax.
