Outage leaves thousands without power in Halifax on Monday morning (Update)

UPDATE: Power was restored by 5:50 a.m. Monday.
Nearly 3,000 customers were waking up in the dark Monday, thanks to an early-morning power outage on the Halifax peninsula.
According to the Nova Scotia Power outage map, the outage reached from Bayers Rd. to past South St., and from the Northwest Arm to Robie St., affecting 2,897 customers.
The cause was listed as under investigation.
