Planning to take Halifax Transit in the coming weeks? Expect service disruptions

By Meghan Groff

Haligonians planning to take Halifax Transit in the coming weeks are being asked to check for service disruptions before heading to the bus stop or ferry terminal.

HRM says conventional bus service and ferry service will be impacted by staff availability.

“Staff are working diligently to minimize service loss, and provide as much notice as possible to passengers,” said HRM In a news release.

“Based on current staffing levels, it is expected service loss on conventional bus service will continue for at least the next two weeks.”

A number of trips are being cancelled starting Tuesday.

Ferry service is also expected to run at reduced capacity for approximately two weeks.
