By Andrew Pinsent

Halifax Regional Police have arrested a Dartmouth man after the attempted robbery of a business in Spryfield late Wednesday night.

Officers responded to a 'hold-up alarm' at a business on Herring Cove Road near Drysdale Road at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, where police said a robbery had just taken place. A man had entered the store and demanded money, according to police, but no money was given to him before he fled the scene on foot.

Police say 29-year-old Shawn William Lethbridge will be in court Friday facing one count of robbery.
