Potential COVID exposure at Central Zone locations

Nova Scotia Health Public Health is advising of potential exposure to COVID-19 at various locations in the Central and Western Zones. In addition to media releases, all potential exposure notifications are listed here.
Anyone who worked at or visited the following locations on the specified dates and times should immediately visit covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/ to book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have COVID-19 symptoms. You can also call 811 if you don’t have online access or if you have other symptoms that concern you.
If you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your test result. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 you are required to self-isolate while you wait for your test result.
- Walmart Dartmouth Crossing (90 Lamont Terrace, Dartmouth) on April 14 between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, April 28.
- Hollister Halifax Shopping Centre (7001 Mumford Rd., #101A, Halifax) on April 14 between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, April 28.
- Value Village Bayer’s Lake (165 Chain Lake Dr., Halifax) on April 17 between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 1.
- Mission Mart (265 Susie Lake Crescent, Halifax) on April 17 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 1.
- Giant Tiger Woodlawn (114 Woodlawn Rd., Dartmouth) on April 17 between noon and 4 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 1.
- Superstore Portland Street (650 Portland Street, Dartmouth) on April 17 between noon and 4 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 1.
- Value Village New Minas (9256 Commercial Street, New Minas) on April 18 between noon and 1:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 2.
- Pet Smart New Minas (12 Millett Dr., New Minas) on April 18 between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 2.
- Sobeys Windsor Street (2651 Windsor Street, Halifax) on April 18 between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 2.
Regardless of whether or not you have COVID-19 symptoms, those present at the following locations on the named dates and times are required to self-isolate while waiting for their test result. If you get a negative result, you do not need to keep self-isolating. If you get a positive result, you will be contacted by Public Health about what to do next.
- Bluenose II Restaurant (1824 Hollis Street, Halifax) on April 17 between 11:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 1.
- Boston Pizza Bayer’s Lake (194A Chain Lake Dr., Halifax) on April 18 between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 2.
- East Side Marios Bayer’s Lake (186 Chain Lake Dr., Halifax) on April 17 between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 1.
- Mary’s Place Café (5982 Spring Garden Road, Halifax) on April 18 between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 2.
- Church Brewery (329 Main Street, Wolfville) on April 18 between 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 2.
- 2 Boys Smokehouse & Deli (984 Cole Harbour Rd., Dartmouth) on April 17 between noon and 4 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, May 1.
- Halifax Transit bus route 61 Auburn/North Preston from North Preston towards Halifax on April 14 between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m., April 15 between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and April 16 between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, April 30.
Please remember:
Do not go directly to a COVID-19 assessment centre without being directed to do so. Please book an appointment online or call 811 and do not go to a pop-up rapid testing location.
Currently, anyone who traveled outside of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland and Labrador is expected to self-isolate alone for 14 days after arriving. If a person returning from non-essential travel outside of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland and Labrador is unable to isolate alone, then everyone in the home where they are isolating will have to self-isolate as well.
